Bergen Evening Record
March 19, 1925

This is an interesting article revealing the contentious relationship Hackensack and Bergen County teams had with the High School athletic commission.  Bergen County had no representative on the commission and Hackensack had told the State Board before the tournament started it had no intention of entering again next year.  The State board said Hackensack was being unreasonable because of one injustice to leave the tournament but Hackensack was now defending its position because they told them before the tournament even began.
The other article tells of Hackensack preparing for their third meeting with Passaic which Passaic requested before the State tournament began to determine a clear winner of the league title they had split the two games they had played leaving them in a tie.
